In January 2005, domestic electrical installations were brought within the scope of the building regulations. This legislation is being enforced to try and prevent injuries from faulty installations and repairs.
All domestic electrical installations, together with specific alterations and additions to current installations, will have to be inspected and comply with strict electrical safety performance standards. The standards will cover the design, installation, inspection and testing of domestic electrical work and the provision of information.
Berkeley Installations offer a wide range of domestic electrical services from single or multiple house/flat rewires, electrical reports through to NICEIC testing and inspecting to the new building regulations (part P).
At the end of every job Berkeley Installations Engineers will provide a NICEIC test certificate, along with detailing the work that has been performed it is also a written guarantee that the installation complies with all relevant Building Regulations. This certificate and other relevant evidence of domestic electrical work that meets the new building regulations are required when you come to sell your property.
